stuck on "Copying message to Sent folder"

Our company has been using Thunderbird as desktop client for years. As of yesterday (8/13/18), users have been reporting problems sending email. When I try it (IMAP), I see the following: 1. the message is copied to the folder in my account (Zoho Mail) 2. the message is delivered to the recipient (Gmail) 3. Thunderbird is unaware and gets stuck on "Copying to Sent folder", eventually crashing I'm trying to upload a relevant screenshot, but it doesn't work...

I guess the screenshot attachment did work. But the web form was stuck on "uploading image...". Seems to be a widespread issue... ;-)
