Bookmarks Window Stay Open Option
I really wish there was some method so as to keep the most recent bookmark window 'stay open' like it does when I'm using the ms edge browser in windows 10.

Hi David, Firefox shows bookmarks in many different places and they behave a bit differently:
(1) Bookmarks menu - either on the top menu bar (File, Edit, View...) or using the optional Bookmarks menu button () - Normally closes after you select a bookmark, but see below
(2) Sidebar - Ctrl+b - This will appear in every tab at the left or right side.
(3) Library window - Ctrl+Shift+b - This separate window probably isn't what you're looking for.
For the menu:
There are some settings which could help. You could experiment with these and see what you think:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste bookm and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs preference to switch the value from false to true -- this will direct a bookmark to a new tab instead of the current tab
(4) Double-click the browser.bookmarks.openInTabClosesMenu preference to switch the value from true to false -- this will keep the menu open after you click a bookmark so you can click another one if you like
Does that work more like you prefer?
Hmm, that isn't working for me today; I'm pretty sure it used to work. Maybe something about my customizations.
Hi jscher, Thanks for your replies, I might have received more responses if I would have put this question in the correct area ( desktop version ). David
