Bookmarks completely missing and can not be restored since 60.0 update
All my bookmarks are gone especially ones that are important to my work. I tried to restore but I get an error saying unable to process backup.
Why is this happening and so anti user? any answer to this would be appreciated.

Ok, as a last resort after trying everything I uninstalled firefox restarted the computer and re-installed and all my bookmarks came back.
I don't know what happened but everything seems to be cool again.

Hi, please check your Desktop for a Folder called Old Firefox Profile. If not ok. Please check here to see what is up with the Profile Location : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data Are there 2 Profiles ? If so please check the older folder for places.sqlite If there can help.
As to the backup you made you did not say if was in jason or HTML but either way it is a computer, it is data and data gets corrupted though if saved as HTML file then recover would be easy.
Thanks for the response, I found the folder and there is only one profile. and no file called place,sqlite
The backup files are jsonlz4 from the last month and don't seem to want to work.
I have also noticed that bookmarking a page no longer seems to work at all. Not sure what is going on, I'm trying to google any information that seems to be similar but finding no answers.
