fb.com redirects to https://www.facebook.com/

Is that not working on your Firefox?

If you are getting prompted to allow the redirect, or if you a getting a blank page, turn off the redirect block:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste access and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the accessibility.blockautorefresh preference is bolded and "modified" or "user set" to true, double-click it to restore the default value of false

Any improvement?

I don't understand what typing np.pad in the address bar is supposed to do. Do you want Firefox to submit that as a search instead of looking it up as a host name? I don't think there is a setting for that.
