Why doesn't FireBox use the URL of the active tab when you create a new bookmark from right clicking the bookmark bar like in Chrome?

Right Clicking the bookmark bar -> New Bookmark. For some reason, that popup to create a new bookmark doesn't default to the page your on, then on top of that, you can't copy and paste it in, because that popup needs to be closed before you can copy the URL that you would 99% of the time want to use anyways.

It seems like an ass backwards design for the bookmarks, and kind of seems lazy on the developers part, or maybe I'm wrong and there's a reason it's not done, but I would like to see it changed, and would like an answer as to why it's the way it is. -Joseph Orlik
