Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Sorry to hear about the crashes and thank you for the report ID. It appears that crash occurred in June on Firefox 53, so that may be a very different issue from your current problem. Do you have any more recent crash report IDs? The support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" has the steps to get those crash report IDs from the about:crashes page or, if necessary, from disk.

And please do let us know the results of the Safe Mode test.
