I've looked up a lot of solutions for this problem so I guess I'll give this a try. On my 2016 Macbook Pro, videos (ie Youtube or Netflix) will flicker. I managed to fix it a bit by turning off hardware acceleration, but now the status bar will flicker and sometime the video will still flicker as well. I removed all my add ons and extensions and still the problem persists.
