I am tired of continually having to enter my master password. I want to go back to firefox remembering my passwords so that I don't have to enter them every time I open a tab. I am told that I have to disable FIPS but not how to do it. Can anyone help? Cheers

I don't know what that is either.

Type about:preferences#security<enter> in the address bar.

Under Logins, Turn on Remember Logins To check the passwords you have listed, press Saved Logins.

Presumably you have no obligation to continue using FIPS for work or government access.

No obligation whatsoever, I have no idea how I got it. I think it came with the new "One Key"

Hi   again   !
Just had a brainwave:
We've been focussing on disabling   FIPS,   because   'somebody told you to do so'   ........
But your problem is:   you're tired of continually having to enter your master password.
Now,   let's focus on that and go back to   FredMcD's   answer and see how that will work for you   !
Good luck and keep us posted   !
