When Firefox starts the following appears as a bad script: "chrome://custombutton/content/button.js:368"

My choices are either to continue, debug or stop script. None of these work and Firefox must be stopped.

After numerous tries to open Firefox I get the option to open is safe mode, where I am now. When I look to see about crash reports there are none. I cannot delete add-ons or extensions because there is no tool bar in safe mode. I am in WIndows 10

That is a problem with the custombutton extension as you can see by the chrome URI you posted.

Can you open this file in Firefox for inspection?

  • chrome://custombutton/content/button.js

Note that Firefox uses the "chrome://" protocol to access its own internal files and also access files from extensions (no relation with Google Chrome).

You will have to contact the developer of this extension and disable the custombutton extension for now.
