My Firefox suddenly started crashing last week. It crashes within a second or two of opening, regardless of whether I try to select a different page to open or don't touch it at all. I have completely removed Firefox and reinstalled, a couple of times. The same thing happens if I try to open it in safe mode. I'm in a corporate environment with a lot of anti virus and firewall protection. I seem to be the only person having this problem. A once-over by IT didn't seem to show any viruses, but this is a low priority problem for them and I need this for my work so I'm trying to figure it out on my own.

Here's the most recent crash file id: Crash ID: bp-fa4011c7-44de-4e56-a8a4-8406c2160223

Any ideas would be appreciated.

unfortunately this crash may be caused by websense endpoint security software that is running on a device. in case your computer is part of a managed enterprise environment, please get in contact with your it department about this issue again. more information is available in bug 1181091.

in a larger enterprise using the extended support release (esr) version of firefox, which receives security updates but feature updates only once every 10 months, might also be a better option compatibility-wise: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/

Thanks. This is part of a managed enterprise environment, so I will provide the bug information to my IT, and install the esr version. I appreciate the feedback.

Hi jitender889

Could you please start a new thread for your question?

Then you can provide more information like your operating system and installed extensions and installed plugins.

In case of crashes also please add some recent crash IDs that start with a "bp-" prefix.
