The color of my photos looks over-saturated in this browser regardless of webpage.

I looked up the issue I am having where all my photos uploaded to any website show an over-saturated color that does not match the color in Photoshop and other browsers (Safari and Safari for iPhone) and all I found was this question asked by someone else. I tried doing what was suggested and nothing happened. I used Firefox for PC for years without this issue I am now having with my new iMac. Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!

Hi there.

If tweaking the browser's settings doesn't work, it may be the sites tampering with the image based on browser-specific instructions (CSS). What sites are you using? Could you provide examples of the pictures? What program did you save the photos with? What setting did you use (e.g. Save for Web)?

I don't know if image formats can contain browser-specific colouring information, but what you describe does sound like one browser is using colour management and the other is not. That should be a matter of settings, and Firefox definitely supports it, if the information is presented in a compatible format.
