Hello,

Mozilla Firefox Version 44.0 is no longer loading web pages in Normal Mode. The Tab says "Connecting...", but the web page will never load, no matter what I type in the search bar, address bar, or any Bookmark link I click on.

The only way I can get Mozilla Firefox to work is by Restarting in Safe Mode, twice. The first time I restart in Safe Mode it still will not work, but the second time I restart in Safe Mode, it will then work like normal.

I have already gone through the various troubleshooting steps listed here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can

And here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-dont-load-troubleshoot-and-fix-errors

I have already tried going to Tools>Options>Advanced, Under "General" Tab and unchecking "hardware acceleration"

I have also made sure my security program is not blocking Mozilla Firefox.

I have completely reinstalled Firefox, deleted my user profiles and started fresh, with the same problem persisting.

I have not done anything out of the ordinary that I can link to why this problem started. My guess is that, in Normal Mode, Firefox is not connecting to the internet at all.

The only Add-ons I have is "Personas" and two add-ons from Adobe which have been disabled by Firefox because they could not be verified by Firefox.

Any help and insight to this situation will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

It could be the work of one of your add-ons. Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.

If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.

Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is detective.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply.

I have already tried this, and it does not work. The only Add-ons I have is Personas, Skype, and two add-ons from Adobe which are already disabled automatically by Firefox because they could not be verified by Firefox.

Any help and insight to this situation will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
