The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc Quickbooks report I open in Mozilla Thunderbird with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC are always duplicates of the first Quickbooks report I emailed. Every time I open the email and click on the attached report, it creates another file in the temp directory with the same file name and an updated extension: "Report_from_companyname-2, -3, -4". Each of the temp files contain the same data as the first report I emailed "Report_from_companyname". When I close email, some of the "Report_from_companyname-*" temp files are deleted. Next time I email and open a new report, "Report_from_companyname" temp file is created, and it works THE FIRST TIME!

Is your company sending the report to you? or are you sending it out? Does each mailing use the same filename?
e.g. 'Report_from_companyname' or is a different filename being used with each successive mailing? e.g. 'Report_from_companyname_datetime' You may be trying to overwrite an existing file.

When windows saves a file, it checks to see if the filename exists in that folder. If it does save the file again, it will add a numerical suffix to the filename.
