Firefox has worked fine until this morning. Now it crashes instantly on startup, even in safe mode and even after uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh copy. I've captured many crash reports, including ID=6c53dcc4-7ca3-4877-a074-9ed522151003

My only workaround so far is to start Firefox as administrator. No idea what to try next...

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Sorry to hear about the crashes, and thank you for the report ID (https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/repor.../6c53dcc4-7ca3-4877-a074-9ed522151003).

The crash "signature" in your report has been linked to the Applian Technologies programs Freecorder and Replay Media Catcher in combination with popular security software (e.g., Norton, which you seem to be running).

If you have one (or both) of those programs and it isn't essential, try uninstalling it and then restarting Windows to ensure that none of its components are left running.

Will Firefox start normally after that?

(If you prefer not to uninstall the program, another user said he used msconfig to prevent FlvSrvc.exe from running at startup and that fixed it. See: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1086722#answer-789197)
