If I open a Firefox window, for some reason it now appears on ALL my desktops simultaneously. Can you please tell me how I can stop this happening.

I only want to have firefox appearing on one of my desktops and not all of them.

Thank you for your time.

John

Haha. I think I'd better give up the diet, then. ;)

It's great to hear you've found out about tab groups! I use them all the time and love them to bits.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm really glad to have been able to help - it's my pleasure. Happy internetting out there!

PS - if you get the chance, could you please make the problem as solved? It helps us keep track of who still needs help. Cheers!

Hi John,

Here's what to do:

  1. Go to the dock (normally at the bottom of the screen). Press and hold your mouse button down on the Firefox icon.
  2. Go to Options and choose None

Firefox will now open only in your current desktop, rather than all desktops.

Gidday Jayelbe,

Thank you Thank you Thank you.

I would have spent at least two hours googling and searching, looking for ways to reclaim the rest of my Mac's Desktops from being cluttered by the same Firefox window with the exact tabs everywhere.

Mind you, in my unsuccessful travels to find a solution, I learned about how to "group tiles" which is also a very effective means of keeping the webpages from a similar category together which in it's own way fixed my original problem but via a different method. Regardless, now I have the best of both worlds.

So thank you very much for your quick reply and answer to my dilemma. You people who volunteer your time to help others like me are worth your weight in gold.

Thanks again.

John
