I use two computers to chk my tbird mail but only save the important msgs in local folders on my desktop. If I read something important on my laptop, i leave it on the server until I'm on my desktop and then save it to a local folder. Should I be compacting my Tbrd folders on both computers?

Thanks, Jim

Just create a folder on the same account on your e-mail account, put them there then you can access it on anything you can log into your account with Dan

I'm not sure how your reading habits are connected to the compacting question. In general, compacting is recommended, and you can automate it. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keep_it_working_-_Thunderbird
