When click in scroll bar, far away from indicator, it doesn't do AvPag or RePag but goes to that point in the scroll bar. How do I change this?
Until some weeks ago, when I clicked in the scroll bar with the left button, firefox did AvPag or RePag, but recently it started to just scrolling the page to the point I just clicked.
Other users of the same computer (debian testing laptop with official 34.0.5 firefox installed through the tar.gz file) don't experiment this behavior and the scrolling is the usual AvPag or RePag. So I guess is a configuration issue.
Does someone know how to change this configuration or whatever?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Are you middle-clicking the scroll bar?

It was not turned on. The only options checked in that group are "Use smooth scrolling" and "Check my spelling as I type".

Nope, left-clicking, and this config key is with its default value "true" (linux). But I realized that middle-clicking over the scroll bar has no effect, but right-clicking does just what I want, moves a page forward or backward.
This could be a workaround to get the behavior I want, though I'll investigate a little further, comparing the config values given in this thread with other users'.
Did you try Safe Mode in case an extension or Ubuntu modification is causing this?
You can also try the version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the Ubuntu repositories. You can find the full version of the current Firefox 34.0 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

Starting in safe mode does not solve the problem. The behavior is still the same, and I already have installed the official Mozilla Server version.
I guess, if I don't find the original problem, I'll try a reset to factory settings.

Can you try a different mouse or (generic) mouse driver?
You can try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Try turning Use smooth scrolling off. Is there any change?

Nope. And other users' profiles have smooth scrolling and acceleration hardware on, so I guess is some kind of inner configuration of this profile. So I guess I'll have to do a backup and a new profile, transferring the data according to cor-el link.

You have the problem with one profile, but not the other profiles. Safe mode does not stop it. I have two thoughts.

There is a program on your computer causing the issue. Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites.
