Good day,

Occasionally, the message header and message do not match. This leads to several problems. The junk filter is removing messages that I need to read into the junk file. I am deleting messages that I believe to be something other than they truly are. And, I am opening messages that contain spam, nonsense, or worse. I have had a few minor viruses, I believe to be a result of opening emails that I would have normally left unread.

This has happened now three times, only on my laptop, and I am at a loss as to the problem. I have uninstalled the program, and run Nortons 360 as a full scan. I have reconfigured my junk settings twice. I really like Thunderbird, because I have several email accounts that I need to monitor, but I am worried that I will miss something important, or get a serious virus and wipe out my system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
