This started about 3 days ago. When I'd load a large image sometimes the image would load normally. It's usually pretty fast. After the image loads, OR when I scroll, the image will turn white and then RELOAD. It's made worse by the fact that the image loads SLOWLY the second time. I'm talking like half a minute per image.

I've also noticed the sort of variation to this problem. Sometimes the image will load and then I will begin to see a horizontal white line slowly moving down the image. The line is one pixel thick. If I scroll the image will be cut off at the line and it will reload everything below it, much slower than the original load.

I've tried googling this for a while and I can't find any relevant information. This is killing me. Any help at all would be appreciated.

I've seen something similar on Google and around the web. With large or many images, Firefox seems to download a low-res version of the image, and redownload it at a higher resolution once the page is finished loading. The slow loading is most likely a slow internet speed.

The resolution appears to be the same.

Is there any way i could turn that off to test?
