Hi,

When using TB (24.6.0) on Win8.1 it will suddenly place a large grey rectangle top left of the screen. This is on top of everything. I'm guessing that it is the remnants of a pop-up window that for whatever reason hasn't closed correctly. It's not the pop-up that appears bottom right to advise of new messages. I have not determined exactly what triggers this - it doesn't happen all the time.

If I close TB the rectangle remains. Task Manager shows TB as still running as a Background Process. Ending this process removes the rectangle. I am going to guess that the rectangle is supposed to be a dialogue box and is awaiting an input from me?

Plugins appear to be happy with two exceptions - Java Development Toolkit and VLC Web Plugin, both of which are set to "Ask to activate"

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Tony

TB just updated to 31.0 - so far no rectangle, but that might be just coincidence.

Yes, it was co-incidence. One more piece to the puzzle - I believe it only happens if TB is not the active frame on screen. That's certainly what happened to me this morning.

Sure. I suspect that it's a part-drawn dialogue box, which would explain why a TB Background Process is shown as running even after TB is closed.
