Was using firefox without issues till this AM. Now cannot get a new tab to open by double clicking on tab or by selecting "new tab" from file, or by using control + t. Running OSX 10.6.8.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Click the + sign to open new Tab

Command (CMD) + T = Mac

CTRL + T - Windows / Linux

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to Troubleshoot the issue and to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

I have the same problem with Firefox 30.0. Disabling the Productivity 3.1 Community Toolbar 3.21.0.1 solved the problem.
