Hi everyone,

When using Firefox on my Nexus 10 tablet entire tablet will often lock up and stop responding. Only way to get it working again is to hold down the power button and restart.

This only happens when using Firefox, usually happens when it's actively loading a webpage. Does not happen with any other app.

So far I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing cache, clearing the app data, and removing all addons. Nothing has worked. Anyone know of something else that I can try?

Hi ryanmmmm, Thank you for your question. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/will-firefox-work-my-mobile-device I do not see any bugs for this device.

  • Do you have any other apps running a the same time?
  • Do you have any extensions installed?

Are you comfortable with Remote debugging or the adb logcat? https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../Firefox_for_Android

Thanks for replying. Re other apps, yes other apps are usually running in the background. A few times however after a restart I've reopened Firefox and the same lockup problem will happen again, with only Firefox open.

I had an extension called adblock installed, thought that might be the problem so I removed it. But the lockups still happen.

The debugging and logcat stuff looks beyond my technical ability.

One other thing, this happens with lots of different websites/pages, it's not a certain one or certain group of sites.

Ok ryanmmmm, maybe we can start with the health report built into the device. Can you take a look at this before the app locks up? Firefox Health Report - understand your Android browser performance

Ok I was able to open the health report. The sharing stuff was turned off but I turned it back on.

Is there anything in particular I should look for?
