I installed the update to Thunderbird as suggested this morning and my whole address book has disappeared. This is a major problem for me. Can you please tell me where it is and how to restore it to my account? Many thanks.

My messages displayed in Thunderbird are simply duplicated... I see a letter, and under it a reply with exactly the same letter. The date, time, and other data match. That is, two identical letters that were simply duplicated.

I find TB (sometimes, rarely perhaps) unable to recognise a mail's arrival although it has arrived. I chanced to discover this because I was expecting one and I kept trying get/fetch mails but kept on receiving the no new message status, but when I logged into the outlook mail server, I saw it there unread. Is there a way to trigger TB or outlook to resend or refresh, so TB can recognise and download it? Ofcourse I can do other things such as forward, reply with cc: etc., on the server but want to preserve the original in the TB folder.

Recently I have started to have emails fail to deliver to a certain domain and the message that comes back is

550 DKIM Sender Invalid - envelope rejected.

I am using Thunderbird v128.8.1 esr (64-bit). Extensions installed are: 1. Attachment Saver (Deimios, v.0.2.2) 2. FileLink provider for Send (Teal Dulcet v2.1.1) 3. Remove Duplicate Messages (Eyal Rozenberg v0.6.1)

I have been in communication with this client for several years and not had this problem before. When I send email to the same recipients using WebMail there is no problem, it is only when I send from Thunderbird.

I am not using any encryption type of setup.

Has anyone come across this before? Does anyone know of a solution?

I have set up a Microsoft 365 account in Thunderbird to send and receive emails. Suddenly, I cannot receive new emails on Thunderbird. Even if I manually attempt to send/receive emails, new emails are not received. No error messages are displayed. When I log into Webmail (Outlook), I can see the newly arrived emails. Upon checking with Microsoft, they indicated that the root cause seems to be related to the failure in properly updating the UIDL map and UIDL history. Reinstalling the Thunderbird application did not resolve the issue. Could you please advise on how to address this problem?

I'm on Windows Thunderbird version 128.11.1esr (32-bit) (Danish language)

In composing an e-mail if I select CC or BCC and add some addresses, everything seems fine.

Except: The labels for CC and BCC are completely missing. So I cannot tell if the e-mail address is a CC or BCC address.

My local folder is on my Unraid sever. I have full access to the sever, In thunderbird I can see all my mails in "local Folder" I can transfer mail in the local folder and move them around, create new subfolders. But I cannot open any mail. I tried to change the directory of the local folder to a different source and back to my server. Nothing.... I can see every thing, move things around, but I just can't open any mail??? It's not a server access problem, because I wouldn't be able to move files in or out of the "local Folder" repertoire.

(Unable to send a bug report via connect.mozilla.org, I have to leave feedback here.) After importing feeds from OPML into Thunderbird 140.0b2 (64-bit), I will export them.

I had to attach fragments of files as screenshots because this site does not allow formatting text as code and removes part of the text.

It seems to me that the export is broken because the generated file lacks both a link to the feed itself (xmlUrl) and to the management web page (htmlUrl). And if the latter is not critical, then without a link to the feed the generated OPML file is useless.

When I import feeds from OPML, I can open the feed properties window ("Folder Properties"), but the only text data I can see is "Name" (taken from "text" or "title") and "Location" (assigned to the feed by the application, and looks like `mailbox://nobody@Feeds/Google Alerts. 941f2f87`). So the feed properties do not have the feed address (xmlUrl), which would allow it to be uniquely identified with feeds in the OPML file, feeds in another aggregator application, or with the Google Alerts interface. Also, when importing, the htmlUrl address, which is used to specify the address of the web interface for managing feeds (useless information for the application, but sometimes useful to the user), seems to be lost.

Also, as far as I understand, Thunderbird does not provide the user with the ability to see the date a feed was added to the application (or filter or sort feeds by this property), or an error log when updating it. Is this correct?

hello all know i ma have asked this recently but either never got an answer or forgot the answer please allow me to ask again/ In my drafts folder when i put something in there should it not be from the actual person that send it> well almost everything in there says my name from and too and not the actual person or company that sent it. i will send you something every thing in the drafts folder has a yellow label at the bottom and the photo i am sending will show you. Now even as far back as 2016 i have some things i sent to drafts and they have my name from and too. I think my Thunderbird is just messed up ok send one photo of just the yellowline at the bottom and send a draft i had saved from 2019 that has the same yellow line

I want to create a semi-automated email, where the body of the email is supplied from a text file. The email is created using bash script that is launched from a desktop icon. My system is Linux Mint.

This works quite well except that if the email body contains commas then everything from the comma on-wards does not appear. For example if the email body should be "Hello Fred, In response to your email of the...", what appears is "Hello Fred".

I have tried changing the HTML/Text settings in Thunderbird, but to no avail. Have also tried creating an email from the terminal, but again the result is the same.

I would very much appreciate some guidance with this.

Whenever I go to delete just one email in Thunderbird, every so often it will also delete the email that comes after it. So I have to go into the Deleted Messages folder and move the email back that I didn't want to delete. My Thunderbird stays updated automatically so that is not the issue. I've cleared the Thunderbird cache many times and that didn't fix the issue and my IMAP folders are synced that I know of but not sure about all the folders and not sure how to do that. I didn't have any issues with this until several months ago for no particular reason I can think of. I really don't want to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird if I don't have to, if there is another fix if anyone has a solution. Couldn't find anything online except for the steps above I already did.

Hi- Some emails just don't show up in my inbox-I can get those emails on my phone (applemail) or webmail but not in my thunderbird on my mac. They do not show up in junk or trash. it is like they never existed. How do I fix this? Thanks

Owing to a price rise in MS Office, I had been looking to move to free software. Unfortunately for email this isn't working. I have downloaded Thunderbird and have tried to transfer my Outlook data there. I started two weeks ago and on average believe the process has been running a few hours a day, for much of the time when I look occupying 0% of CPU capacity, and most of the time not rising above 1%. The import has been stuck at 33% for that time, which I assume means that it imported Accounts and Settings or Address Books quickly and is taking a very long time to import Mail Messages. (It imported the couple of month's worth on webmail quite quickly.) Likely this is owing to the size of the Outlook file, 5 GB. Does this essentially make the transfer impossible? For how large a file could Thunderbird do a successful import?

Issue 1: When using Shift+F5 to Get All New Messages: This command used to go through my accounts within several seconds; but now this can take several minutes. What changed to cause this?

Issue 2: I have one account that is having server problems... causing must click popups in TB. How do I exclude this account when using Shift+F5? I've tried Unchecking the boxes for "Check for new messages at startup" and "Check for new messages every xx minutes". And one help result suggests "Disable immediate notifications: Uncheck"; but I do not see such a setting.

I have been using Thunderbird for over 5 years. I am presently using version 128.11.1esr and I update it often. Many e-mails have been put into an "Archive" folder but I just noticed that all of the items put there are now gone. The "Archive" folder is empty. The account that this is attached to is AOL, xxx@verizon.net.

Are there any thoughts on how this could have happened? I am hoping I can get the items back.

Can I find all my emails again please please help me!!!

I don't even know how to explain what happened - I just know this is my booked jobs for the rest of the 2025!! The folders are "greyed out" and it says "0kb"

I see the emails on webmail though - but not my own answer emails and not in folders (= very messy)

I really really don't know what to do!
