As a die-hard fan of Mozilla products for many years, I genuinely want to say thank you to the Thunderbird team for keeping such an amazing open-source project alive and improving it continuously. Thunderbird is still one of the most trusted and powerful email clients ever made, and many of us truly love using it every single day.
But from the bottom of my heart, there is one feature I strongly feel Thunderbird now urgently needs.
Please give Thunderbird a complete Mozilla Account–based sync system, just like Firefox.
Today, whenever we shift to a new computer, we still have to manually:
For long-time Thunderbird users, this takes a lot of time and effort.
Firefox already gives us such a beautiful and worry-free experience:
And honestly… that experience feels magical.
As Thunderbird users, we dream of the same simplicity:
No stress. No manual setup. No fear of migration.
This is not just a “feature request.” For many loyal Mozilla users, this would be one of the biggest quality-of-life improvements Thunderbird could ever receive.
The Thunderbird team has already discussed this idea publicly for years, which gives users hope that someday it may finally happen.
Please make Thunderbird truly cloud-connected and worry-free for the next generation of users.

Not sure what you guys were going for with this update, but here are a few issues of many:
-Can't right click to print
-Right click to reply to all does not appear
-Can't right click to open in conversation view no longer appears, meaning I can't respond to add a thought to a message I just sent. Requires addon that works sometimes without a restart
-Emails display in a very thin horizontal stripe making them invisible without clicking the menu and switching to classic view. Sometimes they correct themselves after a time, sometimes they do not.
Is there documentation how the different sections of this Perferences screeen work? I find it confusing.
Have just downloaded Tbird to a new PC. Only view I can choose is a totally useless Vertical View. Unusable. Can I download a previous version? I have no need for… (閱讀更多)

Will classic view be coming reasonably soon? Can I somehow upload a profile from the old PC? I Will download if possible and if you tell me how. I don't recall making any computer changes that might have affected the background display on inbox messages and change it from what it has always been--black print on white background. A few times I have tried to make a donation but each time i get a message that the donation can't be made due to some sort of compliance issue. Once you resolve this there may be more donations made. To note this has been the same from the first time i tried but i thought it would resolve itself, it hasn't.
There is a discrepancy between the agreed donation amount and the charge of $1.45 i think. this may be the issue or,, cheers Dorothy

I am writing to express my frustration regarding the recent UI changes. After the latest update, the standard toolbar icons (Get Messages, Write, Address Book, reply, etc.) completely disappeared for me, leaving behind nothing but a search bar. Even using the "Restore Default Set" option fails to bring the essential navigation buttons back. While I can eventually fix these issues as a power user, these constant, breaking UI changes are a major problem for average users. For instance, my 65-year-old mother relies on a stable interface. Every time a rollout breaks the visual layout or hides basic functions, she is unable to use her email until I step in to fix what the update messed up.
Forcing users to manually rebuild their primary navigation toolbar after an update is not a "feature"—it’s a regression that alienates long-time especially elderly users who need reliability over constant redesigns. Please prioritize UI stability and ensure that "Reset to Default" actually restores a functional set of icons.
If you need further information I'll be glad to hear and hope you can give me an easy fix for this problem.

Subject: Persistent SMTP block on specific Outlook account (IMAP functional) Problem Description: Systematic failure of outgoing emails via SMTP on Mozilla Thunderbird for the address redacted@outlook.be. Crucial Note: Incoming mail (IMAP) works perfectly with the same credentials, proving that the authentication and the password used are correct. Technical Data & Actions Taken: SMTP Configuration: Server smtp.office365.com, Port 587, STARTTLS (or port 465 SSL/TLS). Authentication: Using a 16-character App Password generated after enabling Two-Step Verification. Symptom: Systematic rejection of the SMTP connection (Command Error 12 or timeout). Other Outlook accounts configured on the same Thunderbird client and the same internet connection (Belgium) are working without any issues. Tests Performed: Complete purge of Thunderbird's password manager, alias verification, and full restart of network equipment. Conclusion: Since the reception service is operational and full access is functional via Webmail/Outlook App, the block is specific to the SMTP protocol for this particular account on the Microsoft server side. I recently went back from Thunderbird daily to the release channel when I set up my new PC.
1. On opening an email - The Subject display in Daily Version is Bold and according to the font as set in Thunderbird Settings. Just Perfect. It is not the same in the Release Channel. Looks not so nice.
2. In Release Channel -- under settings If I choose to display the "Name Only" under Message List for address display format. It ignores
3. Release channel is ver 146.0.1 .. If I go back to Thunderbird daily .. will I be able to use the same profile used for the Release channel?
