Firefox recently offered a choice of having open tabs appear in a sidebar on the left side. This is great but the tabs and sidebar stay visible when engaging the f11 full screen mode. This makes an awkward appearance when trying to view in full screen - such as movies or any other. The address bar at the top is hidden with f11, but the side tabs and their vertical side bar remain visible. I believe Firefox would be more desirable if the f11 key also hid the side bar. This is how Microsoft's Edge browser functions. Can't have a true full screen if the sidebar and tabs remain visible. The full screen functions works well if the sidebar function is turned off in settings but this makes it awkward for a user who wishes to use the sidebar tabs with a full screen mode. There is a special tab area at far left side of tab bar. I once put a site there, but can't recall how to add more. The image included should answer further questions you may have regarding my query.

Every time I close the browser and re-open it, the favicons disappear. I use the favicons to navigate to websites on my bookmark toolbar, but they're missing from my regular bookmarks, too.

I found an old thread that appeared similar, and the solution was to take a working copy of the favicons.db file and re-import it if it breaks (while the browser application is closed). However, this did not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While i was trying to search indeed for a job the site started having a glich loading . I'm not sure if that the best term but doesn't fully load. I have had this issue at least 6x in past five years on default firefox setting and if i changed a few to make more secure . When i use other browser that are not firefox based it is fine . It happens on librewolf as well

I followed your very helpful article and my bookmarks reappeared, but the error message is now showing up every couple of days.

Update: Several days later, this is still happening. I wish someone would please help.

My Firefox browser window has multiple tabs. I would like to be able to close them individually. The tabs do not have the 'x' symbol on them to be able to close them conventionally. I tried to right-click on the individual tabs, but the drop down menu does not have the option available to close the tab either. I tried rebooting the computer but when I open Firefox again, the same tabs are still there rather than opening up a fresh browser window with only the start tab window. I am using Windows 11 with this computer also. Help!!!

All my saved passwords are missing. I am synced and logged into an Android phone. I usually use an iphone but have not checked syncing there yet, or on a computer/laptop.

I think there may have been update last night, or else maybe the cat stomped on something. Because today all of those things (Bookmarks All Disappeared, Can't Create New Favorites, AutoComplete For Web Addresses Not Working) are suddenly not working. I'm still logged in as myself and it remembered my cached data.

Anyone run into this?
