Please help me get my bookmarks library back. At least the top 20 or so bookmarks! I bookmarked one more thing, tried to find it and add it to a folder, and the whole bookmarks library disappeared. I tried to get it back, but I can only see them when I go to open application menu, bookmarks. They are unorganized. When I tried to see the bookmarks library, it was not along the left side of the screen. It was gray and empty, in a box. Can you help?

I had to reinstall Windows on my desktop, and am trying to restore the bookmarks to my browser. I thought I could just find my bookmarks by entering my account.

I have copied bookmarks to my laptop in the past but for some reason I can't figure out how to copy my bookmarks to the desktop. Thank you for your help.

I had an arrow on the right side of my FF Toolbar for "Other Bookmarks". Recently it went missing. I have many bookmarks under that heading, and can get to them through the Bookmarks Manager, but no arrow on the Toolbar. How can I get it back?

I recently was updated to 104.0.2 . My favorite bookmarks have disappeared off the Bookmark toolbar. in fact the bookmark toolbar is blank. When I look in my Library they are still listed there. they just don't show up. I read some of the other threads but was not able to solve the issue . suggestions ?

I have 2 laptops I will call OLD and NEW. Both have Firefox Browser 104.0.2. I have the Menu Bar at the upper left corner for both OLD and NEW.

On OLD when I click the Bookmarks link in the Menu Bar, i see a few links (Manage Bookmarks, Bookmark current tab, etc). Then below the links I see all my bookmarks listed. I DO NOT have to click on a link to see my bookmarks.

On NEW when I click the Bookmarks link in the Menu Bar, I also see a few links (Manage Bookmarks, Bookmark current tab, etc). And then nothing else. I have to click a link to see bookmarks. How do I get NEW to display my bookmarks without having to click a link?

So, Firefox automatically updated (to 103.0.1), and somehow or other the sidebar with all the bookmarks disappeared. Normally, this would take me about 10 seconds to find where the function was hidden, and turn it back on. No big deal--just a petty nuisance. Now, however, this function has been hidden so well, that I have no clue where to look.

I understand that interfaces change, and not everyone works the same way, but that's no excuse for flat out taking away a tool that some people (no matter how small a minority) still use on a regular basis, just in the dubious name of 'fashion.' Leave well enough alone. If I wanted my tools changed and moved on an irregular and capricious basis, I'd stick to Microsoft.

Now, please tell me how to get my bookmarks side bar back, or put together an update that makes it functional again.

Is there currently a keyboard shortcut to switch the focus to the Bookmarks Toolbar?

If not, are there any plans to add one?

If not, I would like to request that functionality.

Need help. Just installed Firefox on Windows 11 on a new computer. I tried to sync the bookmarks so that it was like all the other versions I've had. But, I can't. I can put bookmarks on the Bookmarks Toolbar, but where I used to have the Bookmarks Menu on the top right of monitor I can't seem to do it. I miss opening a folder and having multiple bookmarks opening all at once. A little help please. Thanks....

I can manually save copies of Bookmarks with export to a file. Where does Firefox save them, how often, when, and where are the 15 backups. Would like the safety of copying and saving to an off computer drive.

Now remembering, I see them from: Help, Trouble Shooting Information Mode, Profile Folder (Open) then bookmarksbackup Folder. Should I then save the most recent dated version?

A few of my sub-folders within my bookmarks do not show up in the Toolbar and Sidebar. The same bookmarks' sub-folder are present in the Bookmarks library (that's accessed from Firefox settings).

Could you please help with how I can get these sub-folders to show up in the Toolbar/Sidebar, please.

I've tried every suggestion of removing "Other Bookmarks" and all failed miserably with this new Firefox, it is ticking me off, why Firefox creates these irritations for its members is beyond me, no wonder its popularity is shrinking. I need a new solution that works for mercy sake, I am at the end of my rope with this issue.

I'm struggling with how to sort my many bookmarks. Not sure if a bookmark should be in a sub-directory and/or I add multiple tags. I've thought of adding them to generalized directories and then adding as many tags as needed, but am not able to search/select multiple tags in the Library window. Any pointers on what is a good way to do this?

I have things like Coding, Learning, Tools. But then also Git, PHP, Linux. I can't figure out how to sort all these :( Thanks for any input you may have.

I had technical with Firefox recently and lost a bunch of tabs and all my bookmarks. Is there any way I can retrieve all of that? I looked in the preferences history and nothing. Thanks.

How can I view the bookmarks/library in the browser pane, rather than a toolbar on the side? I can't read the small print, my folders aren't visible, and a miss-click collapses the entire menu.

I want it to open like the "settings" menu, where it is in the browser pane like any regular website.

Hi, I have been using Firefox for years without problems, and suddenly the vast majority of my bookmarks -- while retaining the link designation -- have been replaced with links to Amazon products. I uninstalled Firefox, re-installed, and reloaded the links, and for a few hours last night, the bookmarks linked correctly to the intended addresses, but now it's back to an invasion by links to Amazon products, hidden behind the bookmark names.
