Hi!

I am getting messages that I am blocking ads for many of my internet requests. I had never received these before but all of a sudden I started to get them. I have tried a number of things but nothing works.

I am running Windows 11 and do not have any Ad blockers.

Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

Hi I don't like to search in address bar. When i open a new tab/ page the search cursor goes into address bar. i have to click in search bar in the middle of the page in order to do my search. Can I avoid this and directly search? Regards

I used to go to bookmarks right click hit open in new tab and the bookmarks tab would stay so I could open more sites in separate tabs. Now when I hit open in new tab on a bookmark the bookmark tab closes so I have to keep opening it to open additional site?

My Firefox tabs crash repeatedly even when I tried opening them in Troubleshoot mode. When I play videos in the browser, there's this stuttering, buzzing noise while the sound lags, too. Usually it's tabs playing YouTube videos that crash, but I've also had tabs crash when I try to open completely unrelated websites. I've disabled hardware acceleration, repeatedly cleared my cache, and even tweaked some of my GPU throttling settings, but nothing seems to help.

Hello community, I have many history items from forms that I want delete, I can delete formhistory.sqlite from Firefox profile in AppData, but after while all unwanted items are back downloaded from Firefox Account (cloud). Is it possible somehow delete those file in Firefox Account too?

There are times when i am using Firefox that my PC will randomly disconnect from the internet. Sometimes it will reconnect on its own after I close Firefox. Other times I either have to restart my PC or go into Network & Internet settings and connect to my network. I am still running Window 10, free updates. Does anyone know what is causing this? It does not happen with any other browsers.

Is there a way to set a default webcam so website gets access to the not-first-camera by default?

Firefox will ask me if I want to allow a website to access my webcam - I do want the website to access my webcam. But when I choose the correct camera (3rd on the drop-down) and click allow, it just prompts me repeatedly (usually 2-3 times per session, every time I visit the page) if I want to use the camera & have to repeatedly select the 3rd camera on the list. If I check the box to "always allow" then firefox defaults to the first camera on the list, which is a view of my desktop, not actually my webcam (because that's what the first camera in the list is used for - displaying my desktop).

What I want is to set a specific camera to always be allowed on a website, but NEVER let the website have access to the other 4 cameras in the drop-down list. I'd even be okay permanently disabling those 4 cameras from Firefox because I only use them with other applications. I only want firefox to ever use the 3rd camera in the list exclusively, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

I can't sign in on my Yahoo mail account. When i try to sign in i have a massage "Something went wrong We couldn't connect you. Please try again from a different device." On my other devices everything is OK. The problem appears on my desktop using windows 7 but on the same desktop the Yahoo mail work properly with Microsoft Edge. What i can do?

I seemed to have lost all my decades of bookmarks on my Mac Firefox browser. Initially i thought it was just the bookmarks toolbar ones, then i realised it was all historical ones as well.

If i select "Manage bookmarks", they are all gone If i then select "Restore" followed by "choose file" nothing happens, no option to select anything

If i click on the far left had "star icon" and try and search for a bookmark, nothing is there either.

The only extention i have enabled is the malewarebytes browser guard Not installed anything else I generally have a lot of tabs open and they all seem to have re-appeared after the last firefox update and unplanned powercut. My account logged in icon is showing, i can still see all my saved passwords etc.

Any help would be apreciated, there is literally over 15 years worth i've lost

I’m writing to report an ongoing issue I’ve been experiencing with Firefox over the past few months.

Within the last four months, Firefox has logged me out of every account I was signed into on three separate occasions. Each time this happens, all saved sessions are cleared and I have to sign back into every service again manually.

I haven’t intentionally cleared cookies, site data, or browsing history, and I’m not using private browsing when this occurs. This behavior is disruptive and I’m concerned there may be a settings issue, bug, or conflict causing Firefox to remove my sign-in data unexpectedly.

Could you please advise what might be causing this and what steps I can take to prevent it from happening again? I’m happy to provide additional details such as my operating system, Firefox version, or troubleshooting steps already attempted if needed.

When I search a topic and a Youtube video appears in the search results it won't connect via the hyperlink to youTube. I doesn't give any message it just doesnt connect.

Since buying a windows 11 laptop, text on websites on my remote monitor usually appears to be roughly "printed" and lightly "inked", but will temporarily become darker and normal appearing at intervals from 5-30 second, but will soon revert to nearly unreadable. Text appears normal on my connected laptop monitor. The remote monitor text appears and stays normal when I run in firefox troubleshoot mode, but reverts after I turn troubleshoot mode off. I've refreshed firefox, replaced the xulstore.json file. Nothing has helped except running in troublehoot mode. Help!

My bookmarks changed on the URL's in over 30 different bookmarks, but the names of the bookmarks stayed the same. I lost a lot of very personal information. What did Firefox do? Not sure when this happened, since I've not used bookmarks for a while.

This is a new laptop. I have it established to open previous windows when I turn the laptop on. Firefox is also supposed to automatically start. Neither thing is happening. Why?

In order to connect to Amazon using Firefox on my PC, I am required to scan a QR code with my phone and then, presumably, connect via Firefox or Amazon apps (instructions woefully unclear). It NEVER works. It's no big deal, but it is annoying, particularly since I want to use Firefox as my default browser. I can always connect via Google or Edge. For those of us who aren't tech savvy, why don't you add standard two-factor authentication or Windows Hello as an option?
