I believe that Firefox had a recent update which was auto implemented after-which my entire collection of saved passwords disappeared off of my Desktop computer. Over the next couple or more weeks I reconstructed many of the passwords and was heading back to normal. Today, for unknown reason my entire collection of saved passwords have again been erased and I do not know how and assume they are not recoverable so am back to square one. On my home computer I have it set to not allow auto updates and have a Firefox update waiting and hesitate to allow it, expecting the same result there to my saved passwords. Nothing significant has been done to or with my computer in this same time period so am at a loss as to why this happened not just once but now twice with cause unknown (I am unaware of any second Firefox update in the interim which could have caused this but cannot rule this out).

I tried updating Firefox or testing for the crash in Troubleshoot Mode, but it keeps crashing every minutes or so. Here is the report ID bp-67065b07-74d6-417e-b7de-caf500260906

I can't access the keyboard hotkeys config page as instructed in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-keyboard-shortcuts-firefox. Typing about:keyboard into the address bar gives an Invalid URL error, as seen in the attached screenshot. I am able to access other about: pages.

I have spell check turned on in setting to check as I type. And yes I have two dictionaries downloaded and installed. But as I am working inside a program and I have to enter data into a text field, if I want it spell checked I have to right click and then click on Spell check for every field that I enter text into. For a while last week it was working without having to do that, and I had done nothing to make it happen. It was nice. Since then I realized I want spell check on. But I can't figure out how to set it so that it turns on for every field that I click into to enter text. Any ideas?

I keep getting: "Your connection may not be private Learn more. The page isn’t redirecting properly Firefox can’t connect to the server at auth.www.abebooks.com." I believe that I followed your instructions, but I'm not sure. I do not understand why "auth." appears in the Mozilla response when I do not type "www.auth.abebooks.com" but simply "www.abebooks.com." Thank you! Claude Gratton

I am in China and do not seem to be able to connect to the Mozilla Firefox VPN, to access my gmail (and other features). When I try to turn it on, I get a message: "Could not connect to VPN: Try again in a few minutes" I did this many times. Should I continue trying or is it hopeless?

Am using a Lenovo laptop running Windows 11 and Firefox v.155.0.1 (latest). Have just purchased Bitwarden in order to have master password for security when computer goes for servicing etc. But cannot find the manner to generate csv file needed by Bitwarden. I'm using Firefox 155.0.1 64bits, in Linux Mint Debian Edition 7, x11, XFCE4. I have a Belgian keyboard. I have noticed that the dead keys aren't working any more when typing text / messages from within Firefox. I don't have this problem in other browsers or applications.

I used xev (x11 utility) to check if the dead keys were working and tested a different keyboard, all work. I tried to start Firefox in safe mode or by starting Firefox from a terminal with the following commands: - env GTK_IM_MODULE=xim firefox - env GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus firefox

But nothing worked. The dead keys aren't working. The issue must come from Firefox for it is not an hardware issue (tried different keyboards) nor software (dead keys work in other applications).

Any idea to fix this ?

My browser window (not my private browser window, however, is starting to show text in web pages as a reverse Hebrew font. I can't figure out why. Translations are turned off and it happens on a lot of different sites. There is a screenshot attached. How can I make it stop!!!
