We have been maintaining a set of tools for Science Olympiad Code Busters (https://toebes.com/codebusters/) that generate and print tests.

When we print the tests using other browsers (Chrome, Edge) we are able to get consistent formatting and output such that the page fits on the sheet of paper and text is rendered cleanly. However, in the past year or so we have received complaints from Firefox users that it doesn't format and print well.

I was able to confirm that it indeed produces less than ideal output with Firefox and spent several hours to reduce the problem to a single self contained file that I have run through the W3c validator to ensure that there is no un-toward HTML.

If you load the file in Firefox and then print, you will notice several issues: 1) The names of participants table ends up wider than the page. 2) The Score table on the first page is off the right hand edge of the page. 3) The header for the second page (Page 1) is on a page by itself 4) The footer for the second page (Page 1) is near the top of the third page 5) The text for the timed question appears too high on the page 6) The text for the timed question is in a slightly larger font such that it wraps early. 7) Similar problems are on the last page, with the header appearing nominally in the correct place 8) The footer for the last page is on a page by itself.

Note that I have experimented with multiple options for the print scale and margins, for purposes of comparison I set the margins to .5" all around and forced the scale to 100% in all three browsers.

Is there some other option or tweaking that I am missing to get this to work properly on Firefox?

I just started getting bombarded with popup messages that say they are via walmart05.higherincomejobs.com. At the top of the message, it says Mozilla Firefox. As soon as I dismiss to x out of one another pops up. I can't figure out how to block or disable them. These are not text messages or emails, they seem to be popups on my ThinkPad laptop. I added a screenshot of them in the attachments. HELP!

Firefox will not open this website (it is my personal photography website.) I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. Seemingly, every other website, but this one will open using Firefox. I have always been able, to use Microsoft's browser, to open this website, except, now, they no longer support W7/64. Thanks, for any help, David Johnson

Hello, Today I was writing a draft post on Substack and the screen refreshed every few seconds. Possibly when Substack was saving changes. Each time it did this, the screen would go blank for an instant and refresh, and then I would have to click to place my cursor where it had been.

This is new as of this week. I was not writing on Substack using Firefox last week.

The latest firefox update makes it so that when you have duplicate tabs open, if you close one, it closes them ALL. I had an issue where YouTube decided instead of opening a video in the same tab, it opened in a new tab, a setting I immediately fixed when I realized it had happened.

Unfortunately, I only wanted THE DUPLICATE TABS to close, not ALL of the tabs linking to that video. I wanted A SINGLE TAB REMAINING of that tab, but there appears to be no setting anywhere in Firefox to change that. Can anyone help???

To be clear: When I have multiple of the same tab, I only want to close the other duplicates, not all of them, so I can still go about my business on that one tab.

Ex: I open a YouTube video by accident in multiple tabs, I wish to watch this video without having to search YouTube for it again. I want to close the duplicates of that video tab, but not the original one.

I have been using Firefox on my HP laptop for about 2 to 3 years. The current version is 130.0 which auto downloaded about a week or 2 ago. Now I am unable to login to my eTrade account unless I remove cache. The URL for the site is https://us.etrade.com/home/welcome-back. When I first click it, a tab pops up which is labeled Investing, Trading and Retirement with a dot on that tab that continues moving left to right to indicate it's trying to bring up the login page. It never times out. I noticed while it's doing that, there is verbiage down on the bottom left corner of the screen that says "Read c.evidon.com" which never goes away. If I go to Firefox settings and delete cache, the login screen will pop up after I restart Firefox. So I can end up logging in, but once I logout of eTrade and try to come back in, the same problem occurs. Never had this issue before but now is somewhat of a pain every time I need to get to my eTrade account. I also have Brave on my laptop and I don't have that issue when using it.

How can I allow My Firefox browser to let me through my bank online with ought asking me for a activaction code every time because it says its a unreconognized device I have a desk top windows 7 I check mark its a private device and i register. I also have a mobile app from the same bank without any problems. Thank You!

Hi there, I don't know if it was from a recent update to Firefox or to Avast passwords but the Passwords extension will not install. I've been in contact with Avast and tried uninstalling Firefox, Avast Premium Security, Avast Passwords and tried re-installing them but nothing has fixed the issue. Previously the extension wasn't working in Chrome and I couldn't reinstall it, but I have managed to reinstall it and it is working in Chrome now. I'd prefer to use Firefox if I can get it working there again.

This is the error message that comes up when I try installing it, and the install fails (in Firefox).

I got increasingly frustrated that google.com search page gets increasingly unresponsive under Firefox, and performing searches from the address bar does not do a thing. Does not respond. The page remains blank. Sometimes it remembers to respond, but most often, it does not. I wanted to search something in the search bar. No response after hitting Enter, even though, I can open any bookmarks or webpages other than google.com. If I type google.com in the address bar and hit enter, it reverts to the previous page. Such as, imagine that I was at www.mozilla.org, and in the address bar, I type google.com. I hit enter, and it just ignores it, and reverts to mozilla.org. But if I type microsoft.com, it goes to open microsoft.com in an instance. My Firefox constantly update itself and before, I always deleted the cache file, now I don't even let caching pages, still, it is like this. I am not sure what is going on. Thank you in advance your kind response.

Hi, I had the idea to try Opera browser as I saw various videos about it. Firefox does slow me down at times even though it's what I have used for years.

Soon after, I defaulted back to using Firefox but the settings must have gotten changed. Everytime I wish to log in to any site, I have to type in my email again. The passwords usually are the old ones that show up.

With Amazon for instance. I must sign in and verify with codes sent to my mobile few times a day. I have searched for help online and gone through the cookies and history and privacy settings, turn this on or that off, don't do this and don't do that. Despite all that, the sites don't remember my email logins. If I go from voucher code to another site, it doesn't remember my credentials, so I don't get the deal or voucher. Amazon on my mobile works perfect but on my laptop, it's just a nightmare to have to sign in and verify each time. Outlook refuses to recognize my password most times and so it goes on.

If I cannot fix this asap, I will then have to remove Firefox as a browser altogether and find anything else that works! Please advise. Last time I reached out to Firefox, I never heard back! Fingers Crossed x

I have installed Firefox on a new computer and add all my extensions. Phantom wallet when clicked is too large and there are buttons on the bottom that are missing as a result. Is there a way to change the size of the windows that pop up when clicking on an extension? Thanks

I have been using Firefox to access the following website for years: "artstorefronts.com", which requires appropriate login credentials, but suddenly Firefox will not open the website. Instead, I get the following message after submitting with proper credentials: "reCAPTCHA verification failed. Try again." There is not a reCAPTCHA "test" associated with this login page, so there is no reason to get this message on my end. However, please note that I AM able to access the subject website using Chrome, Edge and Firefox IOS. I don't access the subject website frequently so I just noticed this problem about a week or so ago, so I suspect the problem began after the latest Firefox update (130.0, 64 bit) a short time ago. My work is trying to fire me because they say Firefox was mirroring my activity at home and vice versa. I.E If I opened a tab at home it when then open a tab and attempt to connect to same website on my work computer in the office.

I’m fairly certain it doesn’t cause that would be wildly unnecessary for what sync tabs is trying to accomplish but I used wireshark to watch for outgoing connections on my home desktop and opened a tab on my phone and my personal laptop and wireshark never detected outgoing connections to the tabs on other devices
