The Firefox update of 25 March has obliterated the previous settings I created.

As a lady approaching 80, I am very disappointed, frustrated and annoyed that the settings I laboriously created have been obliterated by this latest update.

So far, it is apparent that areas concerned are the appearance of the screen - location of bookmarks list, font size, task bar and menu bar displays, items included in the tool bar. My chosen browser is DuckDuck but Bing was reinstated. No doubt, further unwanted modifications to the way I wish Firefox to operate have been loaded.

Can this situation be easily corrected or would deinstalling this latest update and reverting to the previous edition of Firefox return my chosen settings to me?

May I say that I am not a computer "nerd" and am unfamiliar with much computer terminology and would, therefore, be grateful for any instructions to be phased in simple terms.

My computer shut down. I turned it back on, and the browser was completely updated. Nothing! I'm panicking. There's not a single backup anywhere. there is no folder on the desktop «Old Firefox Data» I don't know what to do I tried to restore bookmarks, but the list only showed other browsers.

Bus error firefox $ echo $? 135 ``` Sometimes it can be started but not stable Maybe the problem is: problem with about:sessionrestore, everytime I open it, I can see about:sessionrestore page for short, and when it can start up (sometimes in troubleshooting mode), after choose a option, browser crash, and if I open another tag and close it, browser runs as normal.

I had an issue where my browser disappeared. Here are specifics for my installation.

I relaunched and then restored previous session. After that, I searched open tabs, but when I selected a tab that was reported to be opened,  it was not restored. I went to troubleshooting mode and it worked fine suggesting some issue with an extension.  What, if any logs could I capture to help debug? thanks

Instead of returning directly to my desktop when I close Firefox, this website opens: https://www.websudoku.com/ and I then have to close that before I can see my desktop. I do not want this to happen!!!!! How can I stop it?

For over a year, my browser occasionally loses connectivity. It may work for 3 hours or 3 days, but inevitably new tabs will stop working and then slowly the others will stop as well. When this happens, none of my other browsers are impacted. They work fine. It is only Firefox. The only solution is to close everything and lose all my work.

Once I do that and restart Firefox, I receive an error message telling me I am using an older version of Firefox that is not compatible with my profile. The only solution that brings me back to the best starting place is to re-install Firefox.

My company IT spent 3 days trying to find the problem and couldn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled so many times. All extensions are turned off, as are the two add-ons. I have been using Firefox for over a decade and prefer it to all other browsers, but I need to find a solution or I am going to have to move on. Help!!!

Hi, I notice today that Firefox takes a really long time (~30s) to start. The main Firefox frame opens, totally empty, no tabs, nothing... and ~30s after, it starts.

I also notice that it is linked whith the VPN. When the VPN is active : long time, when the VPN is paused, normal start.

I have two computers, same reaction ! The first computer is used every day, so I have the problem on this one since the last update (I suppose).

The second computer has not been used for a week. I started the second computer today , I checked the VPN is active, I notice the first use of Firefox (which was still v148...) was as fast as usual, then Firefox automatically updets to 149.. and restart, and then, same behavior : long time as start.

I tried to go back to version 148, without any better results.

Can you help me please?

Two computer are in W11 up to date, and the VPN is NorthVPN up to date

I use Venice AI for conversations. Venice AI says it stores my questions and its responses in my browser, not on their servers. I just refreshed my Firefox browser but forgot that Venice AI stores my conversations in my browser. Now my conversations are missing when I go to the Venice AI website. I have a folder on my desktop that is labeled "Old Firefox Data". Can I find my old Venice AI conversations there? If not there, where were they stored?

my browser (firefox) suddenly crashed and all my login data with backup was gone i tried everything but still not working i have the recovery key hopefully restore my account

Lost Mozilla as my default browser after accidentally opening my Facebook page using Edge. The only site that is corrupted is Facebook. All others work properly. I still want Mozilla. Looks like I've created a newer Mozilla account even though I used my password to open my account using my email address and password. My profile name has changed. Wondering if problem occurs because account is shared with my husband and our account is under his name/email. Any suggestions appreciated. We do subscribe to Norton. Thanks.

I am using the latest version of Firefox, and the scroll bar only appears when I place my mouse over it. Then I have to use arrow keys to scroll up and down the page, and it disappears very quickly. Once the scroll bar disappears not even the arrow keys work. Is there a way to turn the scroll bar on so that it is always on and does not disappear? I need to be able to scroll with both the mouse and the arrow keys any time I want to without moving the mouse over to the scroll bar. The disappearing scroll bar is incredibly annoying, and I cannot find a category for it anywhere in the settings menu.
