When using image searches I don't want results from generative ai websites I have looked for a Firefox add on to flitter them out but if it exists I can't find it. Does anyone know of one?

I have a rather odd question. I have a website with a background video that autoplays made with Squarespace. The video plays fine in every browser, except maybe 10-20% of the time will only pull up the spinning white wheel with black background but just in Firefox. I have been through all troubleshooting, DRM settings reset, Cache cleared, hardware acceleration turned off, browser up to date - but none of it gives me a permanent solution. The video itself is up to correct spec in Squarespace, does anyone know what I'm missing? Thank you in advance.

When browsing, I sometimes (more often than not) get a Secure Connection Failed message. The Try Again tab clears the problem sometimes (not that often). This problem has just started happening in the last week, during which I have not made changes to any settings in Firefox. This problem does not exist using other search engines for the same site that I am trying to access, and I note that I also get this same failure when trying to access some Firefox webpages. Is there a fix to this other than contacting the web site owner, which I doubt is the cause of the problem, or for ease and simplicity should I just change to another search engine that does not have the problem?

Unable to install ad blockers; keep getting a message that ad blocker i"s corrupt."

Never had this before from Firefox - what do I do? The ads are disturbing me!

A long time ago I was able to set the max number of rows for shortcuts on the Firefox home page to 5. Sometime fairly recently it has changed to 4. I don't know why nor can I remember which line in about;config I used to change it. I think the line was "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesRows" but when I try to change it, it does nothing. At the time I first changed it, the max it would change to was 5. The max now appears to be 4 if I did it correctly. Your help would be appreciated.

On Windows 11 laptops, I am currently using an Acer Nitro w/ 12th gen Intel i5 16GB RAM, I use my touch pad for scrolling on sites with infinite scrolling. Occasionally this function breaks, when it does it breaks for every tab in the browser window including the setting, I haven't found a singular or specific cause yet. I have troubleshooted it in the community, the prevailing logic being that themes or extensions are causing some incompatibility, so I have reset everything to defaults and made sure I have no extensions loaded, and the problem persists. I can temporarily fix the issue by going into my settings and turning hardware acceleration on and off again. I am writing this to hopefully point out this bug as clearly as possible in hopes that your programmers can fix it in a future update, as repeatedly turning a setting on and off to "fix" it might not be the best solution in the long term.

tab groups can't get a new groups to actually show up even though they show up in the title bar and does not have the box around the other preexisting tab groupings. am using windows 11 on a desktop. i suppose something got changed somehow, but i have no idea of why this started nor how no fix it. any and all help greatly appreciated! wolfgang

MacOS 26.0.1 Tahoe Firefox 143.0.4 (aarch64)

There is a white border around the webpage content in the browser (screenshot attached). This border exists even in troubleshooting mode, with all extensions disabled, regardless of toolbars or theme, etc. The only place it does not appear is the about: pages (screenshot attached). I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and updated MacOS. The issue disappears when I quit and reopen Firefox but reappears when I resize the window. Is there some obvious checkbox setting I'm missing? I cannot figure out what is causing this. Thanks for any help.

Over the past 3-4 weeks, everytime Windows pushes an update, it switches my default browser (Firefox) to Microsoft Edge.

I have spoken, at length, with Microsoft about why this is happening and how to prevent it. Ultimately, their final response is that Microsoft is going to switch my default browser to Edge with every update.

First, I´d like help to find a way to block this from happening without having to just stop all Windows updates.

Second, Years ago, Microsoft lost a lawsuit because of the monopoly when they forced everyone to use their Internet Explorer, but now, it seems that they´ve just decided to ignore that ruling. Can anyone tell me which EU organization I should file a complaint with?

Hi, I’m having trouble keeping my bookmarks in sync between my Windows laptop and Android phone using Firefox Sync.

I’m logged into the same Firefox account on both devices, and Sync is turned on. However, new bookmarks I add on one device don’t appear on the other.

I’ve already tried:

Signing out and back into my Firefox Account

Forcing a manual sync

Checking that both devices have the latest Firefox version

Is there a way to manually trigger a full re-sync or reset the Sync database without losing data? Thanks in advance! 🙏
