GPO applied for firefox but unable to view setting in firefox
Hi Team,
I have applied some configuration setting for Firefox via GPO and Firefox admin template 0.9.2. GPO is applied successfully and even i can see the setting in registry as well as in GP. But Firefox is unable to change the same or not able to view these settings in Firefox

Hello,
Can you please confirm that you are using Firefox admin template to push the GPO to all the computers? And also, the issue you are seeing is that the GPO is pushed to the computers, but the Firefox settings are not getting applied on the machines. Is that the issue?

I have not used Firefox admin template. I got the template from one of support discussion from Mozilla. It will be great if you can share me that template which i can use in GPO to push the setting

Hello, can you please point me to the support link where you received the GPO template. I think the link I provided could be the one same FirefoxAdm template that you received. If so, there are some restrictions on what policies can be configured. Can you please confirm if using the template, you are able to modify the settings that are supported? And for the rest of them you can check this link GPO for Firefox. One of the users provided powershell scripts to automate the deployment.

With the said template i can able to change the setting even i can set the home page too. It is getting displayed in registry as well as in GP settings. But Firefox is not getting update with the settings.
Hello, As per the GPO link, this is a two step process
- You use FirefoxADM to build the registry keys that can be deployed using AD and GPO to all the end-user computers
- Use the GPO for Firefox to read these registry keys and convert them into Firefox preferences
So, based on what you are saying, the first is happening - the registry keys are getting updated on the destination computer, but the second is failing. Is that the issue?

Yes exactly. GPO is getting applied but settings defined in GPO are not getting applied in Firefox. Though the settings are visible in GPO result as well as in registry. I don't want users to change the proxy settings which i have defined and the home page too.
