Every time I do a search, Avast warns "malicious URL Blocked," citing 'http://20.myppcadvertisingfeed.com/2feed..., process Firefox.exe; how do I stop this???
Google, Yahoo, no matter who I search on - the warning pops up! I get no warning using Google Chrome or IE, but I hate those. It also says 'Infection:URL:MAL' and I can find no way to eliminate these warnings.

Better than uninstalling Firefox, first do a Firefox reset and blow away all the add-on's, but tell FF to save all your passwords, etc. It made my Avast Mal-ware pop ups disappear! Go to Help and click on "restart with Add-On's Disabled. Once it restarts, choose to Reset Firefox. Magic!

Maybe you have spyware infesting Firefox. Do a scan for malware.
- Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware - http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
- SuperAntispyware - http://www.superantispyware.com/
- Spybot Search & Destroy - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
- AdAware - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
If these don't find it or can't clear it, post in one of these forums for specialized malware removal help:
Hi Finitarry - after trying the top four sites for removing malware, I decided to uninstall Firefox and all associated files and reinstall. With that, the problem disappeared. The malware sites did find stuff it didn't like, but mostly those were tracking cookies. Unfortunately, I shall never know what happened to Firefox. Thanks for your assistance!
