How do I remove unneeded language packs?

In dabbling long ago, I ended up with four different French language packs, and in all my English language browsing (my native tongue), the French packs take precedence over English, AND they are 4:1. I'd like to reduce it to one, contemporary French language pack which must be manually evoked, leaving English as the default.

I have lots of selections to "Install" but none to "remove". If the Language Pack Add-On page had near the top, a link to removal instructions, I would not be asking for support.

Much Thanks.

Do you mean the four French dictionaries that you can see in the Languages sub menu if you right-click a text area?

You can find them In the Extensions tab.

Yes, those which appear on right-click when I mouse over a word underlined with waves. The first problem is that there is a hierarchy above English, with one of the French Dictionaries as primary. The second, is that I am not a french speaker, but converse often with native French people who are good in English, and so occasionally need to write with French diacriticals which are not allowed in English, so as to not be annoyed by the English spell checker's disapproval. I naively guessed that BOTH dictionaries could work simultaneously, but it appears I must live in one language at a time as far as the dictionaries are concerned. Would my best solution be simply to uninstall them all? I'd rather have them available, that would work well, but the problem remains, How to I make English Primary by default, and allow the French to present themselves in a hierarchy of my choice?

Firefox can only use one dictionary at the time.

You may want to keep only one French dictionary («Modern» dictionary — recommended).
You can do this by removing the other dictionary files in the extensions folder of this extension.
