Whenever I right click anywhere on a page in Firefox the menu shows every options, even stuff out of context, like View Image or Mute, when there is no audio or image. It also shows no spelling suggestions on misspelled words. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/ttetWpm.png

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an incompatible addon is interfering here...

please also update your plugins, some of them are outdated & have vulnerabilities that are actively exploited on the web: https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

I had the same problem after skipping several FF versions and finally updating the program. For me the fix was as easy as going to my add-ons page & just updating them all, then restarting the browser. Now the right click menu is back to normal.

The Firebug extension is known to cause this problem, so make sure to update all extensions to the latest version.
