How do I do to update? Whats the next step after downloading the files ?

I have a Acer Aspire one with Linux from the beginning. I want to update Firefox because for example Youtube does not support it anylonger. I can download the files for updating, but then? What shall I do with the files?

I am Swedish so if anyone in Sweden can explain it is maybe better.

Best regards Gunnar Norén gunnar.noren.57@gmail.com

Chances are that old version of Fedora from 2008 won't support the newest versions of Firefox. Check the system requirements for the two versions which are currently supported.

If you don't understand the requirements for Linux on those pages, try the Acer - Linux forums for help or a Linux forum, to find out what the latest version of Firefox that will work on that older operating system. I had a similar situation with my ASUS EeePC 900 netbook a few years ago, and ended up installing a much newer version of Ubuntu called Easy Peasy, so that I could install a new version of Firefox. I was stuck with a Firefox 2.0.0.x version myself.
