Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Windows Accessibility settings

• Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

Thank you cor-el, you rock! One minor change and fixed. Wow did the websites ever look bad without. Buttons and most everything but text was missing, and the windows were transparent and overlapping. If ever I can help you with anything in return just let me know at admin@salesvisionaries.com.

Such settings are meant as accessibility settings, but buttons that only have background images can totally disappear, so it doesn't work well in all cases.
