Secunia scan of my system shows version 2.0.x as a security issues but firefox shows I am running 3.6.3. How do I clean up traces of earlier version. I have kept up with all firefox updates. Are there old pieces of earlier version still floating around? If I re-install firefox will I loose bookmarks etc?

Do a search of Files and Folders, and see how many firefox.exe files show up on your PC.
Unless you did a "custom" install of Firefox at some point, every version of Firefox you installed or updated should have overwritten any previous installation.
Maybe you only have some registry keys left from old versions that weren't removed by the updater and that still point to the current installed version.
