Why doesn't Firefox or Internet explorer recognize the webcam in my computer?
Everytime I try to record a video on facebook, the webcam does not work, it will not load. The same thing happens on internet explorer?
This happened
Every time Firefox opened

Right click inside the record area on Facebook, then select "Settings" from popup menu. You should see dialog like this:
Select "Allow" and "Remember". Next time you should be able to use webcam.
The box doesn't come up. It came up on IE and I clicked that and when I went to record something after the same thing happened. The box itself does not appear.
That's strange. Should work already. Anyway, I've found some howto on this: http://www.ehow.com/how_5905836_capture-video-webcam-facebook.html
If it still does not do the trick, you need to make sure the cam is detected and drivers are installed. In Windows 7 you should be able to find it in "Control Panel / Hardware and sound / Devices and printers". Unfortunately, I don't own any webcam, so I just theorize with this, but I suppose you should be able to right click it's icon and be able to test it.
Hope it helps.
Delete the macromedia.com and #SharedObjects folders to reset all Flash cookies and settings. XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\ Vista: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\
"Application Data" in XP/Win2K and "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders, use %APPDATA% in the File name field.
See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders Go to: Control Panel > Folder Options > "View" tab > under "Hidden files and folders", select "Show hidden files and folders". --- http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help04.html
Did that and tried to remove flash. To no avail, I might add.
I have an Acer computer with an Acer Orbicam built in webcam, and it's not functioning properly with Skype and I believe it's due to my new utilization of Firefox, any help on this?
