Firefox is remembering passwords even though I have sync turned off and have removed the passwords from the Firefox password manager

I have turned off Firefox password manager because I didn’t like its functionality. I then turned off sync for passwords and manually removed the passwords I didn’t want anymore (because they were incorrect and not updating properly). I then deleted all history. Firefox is still remembering these passwords when I go to sign in to various sites. How do I permanently delete these passwords?
