Facing error as "Duplicate add-on ID found" While signing self distrubuted firefox extension.

We are distributor of Firefox extension for dragon professional. ( We are self distrubutor of the extension.)

It’s ID is dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com

Now we have done some modification to the same extension, while publishing it shows error as “Duplicate add-on ID found.”

Earlier we have used same ID for the Firefox extension in the year 2018.

Currently we have opened new account with same ID “dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com” and faced the mentioned issue.

We are expected to publish our extension with the same extension id as we don’t want our existing customers get affected.

Is there any way with which extension id “dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com” can be deleted from backend , so that we can reuse it.

Do you have access to the old account? AFAIR there's a procedure to transfer ownership of add-on. If not, you have to wait for an answer from AMO admins on discourse.

Thank you for reply.

We were not able to access “dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com" as it was navigating us to create new account. So, we have created new account with the same ID "dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com". We were expecting our old extension listed there but unfortunately there was nothing listed.

You were saying about “there's a procedure to transfer ownership of add-on.” Can you please guide us on the steps to transfer ownership of add-on, which we can try out.

Firefox browser user help doesn't call or email. All help request are answered only on the forum here. I do think you need a IT professional help to resolved your issue here. Also the user forum has no access to accounts on here since no one can verify whom is the account holder and if your locked out only other contact would be from AMO admins on discourse at this point.
