Firefox doesn't change a page unless the user or software other then Firefox forces those changes.

Did you clear the cache/history to see what happens and check what you have set for the homepage as well.

Thank you for your reply. The web page https://support.brother.com/g/b/faqtop.aspx?c=gb&lang=en&prod=dcpj4120dw_eu_as intermittently appears on first boot of Firefox. The issue has been there for some months now even after several cache clearances. My default browser was and is set as Firefox, the default search engine is Google. Another issue is when I type about:config into the Firefox search bar the message transfers to Google search bar.

Thank you for your reply. Firefox 107.0.1 (64bit) In Settings-General I do not have the option to change default browser, the only option is to change home page to blank or another URL. However this solved another issue as by changing Firefox to a blank home page was able to access about:config rather than the general internet search results. Having accessed about:config was able to find Brother trouble shooting page entry. This was set to false. Can I delete this or set to true so it no longer appears intermittently on Firefox boot. Also is there an explanation as to why I am unable to change the browser default? Thanks
