Can't print in GMAIL because of pop-up blocker and exception doesn't work.

"Grrr! A popup blocker may be preventing the application from opening the page. If you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window." 

I get this message when trying to print in Gmail.

I know I can disable the pop-up blocker altogether but I want to keep blocker on. I added https://mail.google.com/ to exception list but that didn't work.
