All of the text on websites are in blue. I have gone to General, Add-ons and Themes, Fonts, and Colors. I have set all the items to black. It does not work. I have uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it. I have followed all the internet help topics and nothing is working. How do I get Firefox to display black text on all websites?

Hi alden1,

The steps that you took above is exactly what you should do. When you go to General, Language and Appearance, Fonts and Colors, and Colors. Once the pop up window for color settings appears, set your Text color to black. Make sure you click the drop down menu under "Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above" says Always.

Let me know if that works.

Could be a problem with High Contrast Mode on Mac. See "New" in the release notes.

Firefox now automatically enables High Contrast Mode when "Increase Contrast" is checked on MacOS.

Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Settings -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.
