Can not find any of my pictures
For over 3 weeks now My folder "pictures" is gone and I can't find it nor the hundreds of .jpegs that were in there.

Is that a folder on your hard drive where you saved images or a bookmarks folder with links to theses images ?
We can only help if there is an issue with personal data stored in Firefox in the profile folder, so if you lost files stored elsewhere then you will have to contact Ubuntu support or other Linux support.
