has restore previous session disappeared? june 2021
I don't see an option to restore previous session any more.
did some googling and found a reference to checking a box in option
it said that then it would be automatic.
so I check that and I'm waiting to see what's going to happen in future: it didn't make my previous session come back this time.
so the question is: Is this right? We must check that option and that's it? No way to go back to the old version method?

It moved to the History menu. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > History > Restore Previous Session
- (menu bar) History > Restore Previous Session
This was part of moving the items from Library up to the main level, I guess they felt there were too many items after that so they moved Restore Previous Session into History. Actually, your guess is as good as mine!
You should still find "Restore Previous Session" in various occurrences of the History menu where some are in "Library -> History" ("3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list or via its toolbar button). You can possibly add a separate History or library button to the Navigation Toolbar for easy access.
If "Restore Previous Session" is missing then make sure you do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the browsing history.
