Gmail is allowing me to download a file and open it right away (either in Firefox, or in Preview etc), but if I choose to "save file" (to a specific location, without opening it right away), it doesn't do anything. This is a relatively new problem, perhaps related to an update? Has anyone else had this issue or any suggestions for how to fix it?

So if you select "Save File" and click OK then nothing happens ?

Does this only happen with PDF files ?

Do you have a specific default (automatic) action set for PDF files in "Options/Preferences -> General -> Applications" ?

Are you using the "Ask.." setting for downloading files ?
