I live in India but as there is no English (India) setting, I chose English (United Kingdom). Firefox assumes my location is the UK for websites. Help.
I used IMDb and it showed British classification. The search engine selection has amazon.co.in and Chambers (UK). I want it to be personalised to India. Can this be done?

Different sites presumably make different assumptions when Firefox sends your language preference. I don't know whether there is a documented solution for this, but you could experiment:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste LANG and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the intl.accept_languages preference to display a dialog where you can edit the desired value. For example, you might have:
en-GB, en
Try changing that to
en-IN, en_IN, en-GB, en
then click OK.
Do the sites behave any differently on the next visit? You could try a private window to bypass any cookies the site might have set with your previously detected location.
