Malware sites / Login dialog box pops up, prevents from closing tab
So, It's a honey trap old as the web, And we're in 2018.
The site just pops up an infinite number of login dialog boxes and they overlay everything, preventing me from clicking anything in the firefox interface.

No, using the taskmgr to kill firefox isn't a solution to my issue. For many reasons :
- 1 : I have an option to reopen all tabs from previous session - 2 : A malware site shouldn't be allowed to override the ability to close a tab or click the interface by popping infinite dialogs. This is a major security issue, a dumb one that makes me wonder if this is firefox 64 or Internet Explorer from 2002.
So what's the leeway here ? I'm pissed, these ads have been overriding my adblocker for weeks now.

If it's like the fake FBI/Interpol browser lock page, A way out of a trap page is to (force it if needed) Close Firefox. Wait about 20 seconds for Firefox to finish closing. Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.
Nonetheless, there should be a possibility to close the tab. I don't see why the modal overrides all the interface. It's a security breach, and an old one.
The reason some call them 'lock' pages is because the coding of that page causes the page to reopen whenever you try to close them.
The ad/pop-up blockers can stop many of those pages from opening.
The question isn't whether I can avoid these pages with an adblocker. I know. They get through.
The question is, no matter how much times the modal pops up, I should be able to close the tab, go to another tab, click the interface etc.
There's no reason whatsoever to lock the interface when JS Alert modals pop up.
