Hi,

I'm on a Mac OS. I was just clicking on google search engine link for what looked it was a legitimate Socan.ca link. In order to view the contents it asked me to update my Adobe Flash Player. It then tried to stop the process but it wouldn't let me and now http://search.anysearchmanager.com has take over my Firefox. This fee Adobe download also downloaded Advanced Mac Cleaner and when I try to drag it to the garbage it reads: The item “Advanced Mac Cleaner” can’t be moved to the Trash because it can’t be deleted.

There were two icons and it allowed me to delete the one that read it had been opened today.

Anybody able to help me here?

Any tips on how to fix this?

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

It now redirects on Safari too. What is the simple solution, without downloading anything else?

If you know what you are doing, just remove the bad file. If you don't know what you are doing . . . . . . .

Try to boot your Mac in Safe Mode.
